Porcelain Tile
The porcelain tile is a very hard material that is particularly resistant to chemical agents, scratches, freezing and the absorption of water. Although many tillers will advise that no sealer/impregnators are required on these types of tile we advise you definitely need them protected. A simple example is a permanent marker will leave a permanent mark on a polished porcelain tile.

Victorian Tile
Geometric Victorian tiles were originally used to ornament medieval churches and monasteries. Victorian tiles can add a distinctive touch of class to feature areas in modern properties. As well as providing elegance they are also hardwearing and practical.

Ceramic Tile
The ceramic tile is a clay fired material. Glazed ceramic tile do not normally require any protective treatment. The glaze on the tile gives the tile its excellent protection and resistance to the absorption of dirt. However we strongly advise to have your grout lines sealed on floors and walls where ceramic tiles are used. Many of the new ceramic tiles in today’s market are manufactured to look like real stone; these imitations are quite impressive and can fool many uninformed hard surface cleaning firms. Professional cleaning and sealing will restore the tile to a like-new condition. Due to inappropriate or inferior sealers or impregnators (or the lack of it) used by tillers, grout lines on these floor types can get permanently stained. Correcting this can be achieved by means of re-colouring your grout lines. Also read “Limitations to having your tile and stone cleaned”

What happens during our Tile cleaning process on Ceramic, Porcelain and Victorian Tiles?
1- We inspect your floor: This is to identify any limitations like stain removal, loss of loose grout surrounding surfaces sensitive to cleaning solutions and any other areas that needs consideration before the cleaning starts
2- We protect your walls and furniture: This is to limit overspray on to sensitive areas during the cleaning process. Please note no guarantee can be made that materials that is extremely sensitive to moisture might not show some form of exposure to our cleaning solutions – please read “Limitations to having your tile and stone cleaned”
- Dry soil removal: we will remove any dry soil and dirt before any water based cleaning takes place Apply cleaning solution to the floor/wall: This can be by means of sprayer or directly from a container with pre-mixed cleaning solutions
4- Agitation: This is done by means of a rotary cleaning machine or by hand depending on the areas to be cleaned.
5- Rinse: Slurry (Dirt from the floor and cleaning solution mixed together) with our pressurised cleaning equipment. This step allows us to clean areas of your wall or floor that is not reachable with any other form of cleaning (scrubbing)
6- Drying: After the cleaning process has been completed, we will clean up and dry any areas. In cases where stone or tile has a high porosity, drying can take up to 12 hours
7- Impregnation/ sealer: An Impregnator like Tiledoctor™ Utra Seal™ or Pro-Seal™ penetrates below the surface of the stone, tile or grout and acts as a repellent.
8- Sealer (Victorian Tiles): A topical sealer like Tiledoctor™ Sea & Go™ adds a coating to the surface of the Victorian tile. This is done to protect against spills or other contaminants causing permanent stains and also make on-going maintenance easier.
Sometimes we have to repeat the cleaning process as described above to ensure optimum results.
